Demolition complete cornice removed, time to build some walls and install the shower niche.

    Render and floor levels complete.
Water pipes and power points moved, but need to get the sparky back again after a suggestion from the cabinet maker of moving the power off the back wall to inside the cabinets so the dryer and washer can be pushed right back tight on the wall.
Temp toilet in place outdoor shower ready for our two week at home camping.

Looking good. No more beige and cream :)

Good suggestion to get the powerpoint moved into the cupboard especially if it's only a 600mm deep benchtop otherwise the washer will stick out heaps

How did your other reno to sell project go?

What sort of tile have you chosen for these?

I'd be careful not to go with anything too dark as it may make the shower feel very closed in and small now that the glass has gone. A pale-ish grey might be nice with a light wood or white vanity

Edit: this is one I've chosen recently which will reflect light well.

If you are not yet settled on your tiles, this is what we've chosen for our cave-like downstairs bathroom. No window at all...

I've chosen tiles from Tradelink (new tile range). The floor tile is "matt" but it comes in "matt" and "honed" and it feels like stone, so is extremely non-slip. Feels a bit like sandpaper to my hand. It is 600 x 600.

The walls will be white matt 600 x 300 rectified. It looks a bit creamy in the photo but it is just the light bouncing around the showroom. It is not super white, but looks better with the floor tile than it looks in the photo. 57120085319__754EC0C9-B74F-4D77-A797-009E666DD41A.JPG 4rlCh2HXRJm29ExVp2YncQ.jpg

Amazing what a difference the tile colour makes - that shower was looking very dark before!

Agree. What a difference that tile makes. And is that a small seat that looks like it is waterproofed in one photo but missing in the finished photo?

Edit: Looking again at the roof angle and windows, I think it is different viewpoints.
