Hi guys, Am in the transition between leaving a business partnership trust and starting my own one, I do some property investing and plan on doing some more over the next 5-10 years.

I'm seeking a new accountant to get the business set up but thought I may as well track one down that has a lot of experience in property to become my long term accountant.

Has anyone got any good suggestions?

My point was really - unlike hairdressers there is no need to see an accountant face to face.

Yes - I have many WA and even UK, HK, USA, NZ and other clients. Proximity isnt a true requirement these days. And with my mug thats probably a good thing. We have technology such as internet, email and video conferencing.

Time have changed. Its like faxes and stamps....And I cant even think of a company that has a stamp for resolutions after 2001 ! (There is a legal concept to this that is best avoided IMO). If any adviser suggests a company stamp is needed its sign of antique advice.

Hi Deyoung, I'm also in Perth and use Paul based in Sydney and have done for years. As said above, it really is quite simple with emails/phone etc. I'd be looking to engage based on expertise rather than convenience/proximity (not to say there aren't plenty of good property accountants in Perth).

Mine is so-so but I can’t handle the thought of changing accountants again.

I would try @Ross Forrester who is on here and has a good reputation
