In Life Perseverance/Grit - matters more than having a high IQ? Me thinks... YES:)

    Grit scale, (Prof Angela Duckworth)

    Angela Duckworth

Psychology Professor, Angela Duckworth defined ‘grit’ as “the quality of being able to sustain your passions, and also work really hard at them, over really disappointingly long periods of time.” The ability to work hard and long, even when nothing’s going your way.

What they found was that ‘grit’ was a determinant of success in a surprisingly wide range of endeavours and if you lacked grit, no amount of IQ points could help you.

I would say there would have to be some pretty gritty people on this forum. Can say that I totally agree with the article.
