For me it would be the " Listed Investment Co (LIC) " - some very sage postings there and has changed a lot of thinking in that equities are seen as complementary to property and possibly a substitute once CG are made. At worst it has challenged some of our views on investing.

All time classic, from SS days has to be the thread - " doing your own depreciation schedules" - or some similar title - that was a hoot!!!!

    Best to all

There are a wealth of information available and can I respectfully say that the the property magazines seem to be behind with their contents. Quite a number of posters here are selected for interviews and quite often a number of topics that were discussed in the forum are made into articles in the magazines which may be a coincidence or maybe not. Do enjoy hearing some of the posters who are keyboard warriors and reckon that they have an 'portfolio empire' when they have nothing and know nothing, but like anything they do disappear eventually. I like to always state that talk is cheap because it's free.

Overall, I think people in PC and in the old SS forums to be people that are down to earth, giving and from all wakes of life which is humbling to see.

There was once an introductory post written in third person. That's my favourite. Unfortunately it was deleted by mods :(

Harry Oscar Triguboff , an Australian Jewish billionaire real estate developer, is one of Australia's richest people. He is the founder and managing director of Meriton and is colloquially known as "high-rise Harry".

Talking about 'first time posters', there was a thread where an agent tried to create a new thread with fake id trying to hype his upcoming sale and replied with another fake id. That was picked up by Simon & Crew quickly.

MTR there was a great thread (you'll need to search it) by @Kate Moloney and her story of what happens when things turn south in an investing journey, and it's well worthwhile having a read.

I have found Kate in correspondence to be very articulate and down to earth in her views, and I wish her all the best in her future endeavours.

And I hope she will use the lessons learnt to come back with a vengeance.

The property journalists follow the forum and usually PM members asking for their contribution to a mag/newspaper article
