Money can be spent on "looks". Makeup, clothes, etc...

Got to get your hair just right to impress, blah blah blah.

But that's all very old school. I wouldn't think that's the common culture, at least not in Australia any more.

Interesting to see the polling results.

Hopefully we will see more ladies vote in the polling. I knew property investing was male-skewed but didn't know it was (seemingly, based on the small sample here ), so disparate.

    Ha!!

I am convincing my old flatmate to discover property. Technically she hasn't bought yet but as soon as she does, she should join PC and vote :)

Problem with having a sex change though is you might start earning less at work... it may be real or imagined... but that is another debate altogether!

Maybe....Australia is very WASP males at the top ranks of management...but it is starting to change.

We are about 10-20 years behind places like the UK and USA. The old boys club mentality is still there.

Having said that if you are good at your role...you can still earn great money. Especially in IT...which I think is the field you are in.

The reason..I got investing (long story) was watching the idiots they were promoting get promoted and then over time get fired! But hey..I need to be thankful this happened....as I would not have achieved what I have without this happening. :p;)

    Very funny! :)

In all seriousness, it is concerning that there are so few women here... it has certainly inspired me to be more active and actually post rather than lurk creepily as is my preference.
