Painting the ugly electrical switchboard?

    Just wondering if it's legal to paint the electrical switchboard? Or at least that is what I guess it is. Something like this image: [​IMG]

    Paint some faux bricks and challenge the electrician to find it?!

    That looks like it's common property being a switch board for your complex.

    There you are, saved you a few $$, make it an OC maintenance cost. :D

    So sounded like there's no regulations against painting it? A coat of enamel paint to match the brown would make the front looks so much better.

    If it's common property, you wouldn't be able to paint it without body corporate permission.

    As @Scott No Mates says, it's their issue.

    I have seen very good use of the likes of Grafico vinyl self adhesive film to hide NBN and electrical transformer and other objects on footpaths HOWEVER you may find that the distribution cover is meant to be the colour it is for location. A bit like a fire hydrant / pump is ...red. Perhaps submit a suggestion and offer to pay and strata may also like the idea ?
