When getting a gyprocker / painter to patch small holes in walls from nails and screws and paint all walls, doors, frames, ceilings, etc. for an existing residential property, is it reasonable to expect a perfect job with all small holes fully patched up and painting to be done perfectly so all the walls are completely smooth (without any small paint bubbles) and the paint job looks like a new house once the job is complete? Is this possible or is this asking too much for an existing property?

Usually, how many coats of paint would you expect when they are painting?

Depends how much you are paying, tradies are busy right now so expect to wait and pay a lot. And if you want a perfect finish get a plasterer to do a level 5 finish

Two. Undercoat + two on new walls or where a dark colour was previously used. Roller application not spray. Spray is a thinner coat.
