Hello everyone. First time post on PC.
My wife and I are about to buy a investment property.
We have a PPOR joint name.
I earn around 70K annually and my wife earns around 24k.
which name should be on investment property for most effective tax deduction way?
and Thinking about taking my name off from PPOR. Is it cost a lot to change ownership of PPOR?

will the property produce a positive or negative income?
Will there be any capital growth?

that means you will probably be borrowing the deposit.

So if you buy a property with 103% borrowings will it be negative or positive cashflow, presecurity?

    e.g.
    $100,000 property
$3,000 for stamp duty and legals

You borrow $23,000 secured against your main residence and $80,000 secured against hte new property
    = $103,000 in borrowings for $100k property
