Owner Builders permit for New Dwelling + Granny Flat NSW

    Anyone been successful or know of success in applying for an Owner Builders permit in NSW when the Development Consent is for the construction of a new dwelling PLUS detached granny flat?

    Add to the complication, it's also a dual occupancy/ subdivision at the same time i.e. existing house with the new dwelling + granny being built behind and subdivided off.

    Department of Fair Trading state 'special conditions' for 'dual occupancy' approval, this technically isn't a dual occ, but a new dwelling plus secondary. We will live in the new dwelling.

    Thoughts? We've owner built before and built with builders so no worries about doing the actual work.
