    Maybe they mean build cost......

    I know Syds going down and I hate towers, but if they get to 400k, thats better than 400k 40-50ks from CBD, whats Homebush....12-15 ? or some such.

    Not only that, Lidcombe is now all Asian, Arabs been displaced, when it comes to food etc and shops. And they love apartments generally.

    If looking at houses here, you should assume all external brickwork is carrying load or some load along with frame that is ties to it if veneer.

    Twin towers made not too come down, but things can fail.

    Putting a price on one of those contraptions is a little difficult at this stage. To be perfectly honest I don't think it has fully passed the figment of imagination stage.

    Stay tuned, I'll get the drawing board out soon. Just need something to kick start the imagination and weed out some ideas.

    The external skin non-loadbearing, the internal skin or frame carries the load. Detail shows the roof framing sitting on the top plate which is strapped to the internal wall.

    Looks like there's some confusion over who was the builder - it's not Icon Construction Group, it's Icon Co (a multi-national building company).

    Gave me a bit of a giggle.
    Unfortunately there are probably more than a few politicians that would sell their soul to keep the aussie property market going upwards and upwards and would love to change the rules and allow wealthy foreigners from China and other countries to keep on buying up residential property.

    You can also guarantee that if property prices do keep on falling in Sydney and Melbourne there will quite a few politicians demanding that the government ease up on foreign buyers..
    Especially if the rental market gets over supplied and rents go backwards all around the same time.

    Typical Bertoota Council wasting our rates, prob took a full council chamber meeting 2hrs to reach conclusion of who to call.....they only had ghostbusters number.
