Just tidying up some paperwork for 2004-2005 years and was wondering how the shares I held then (and sold at various times, some that year , others later) had fared.

AZR - Delisted 2007 following compulsory acquisition by Mount Gibson Iron Limited

CMQ - Delisted 2011 as the company did not pay to ASX Limited their annual listing fees in respect of the year ending 30 June 2012

    CSR

ETR - Delisted under listing rule 17.14, following compulsory acquisition by ANZ Online Holdings Pty Ltd in respect of the ordinary shares of the Company

    HVN

    JUM - Previously
    WINDSOR RESOURCES NL 19/11/1981 13/09/1999
    JUMBOMALL.COM CORPORATION LIMITED 13/09/1999 11/10/2000
    JUMBO CORPORATION LIMITED 11/10/2000 12/12/2007
    MANACCOM CORPORATION LIMITED 12/12/2007 18/11/2010
    JUMBO INTERACTIVE LIMITED 18/11/2010

    MGX

PCG - Delisted following compulsory acquisition by Cape Australia Investments Pty Ltd

    REA

    upload_2017-11-15_17-44-2.png

ZFX - Delisted at the request of the Company under listing rule 17.11 as the scheme of arrangement in relation to the merger of Zinifex Limited (Zinifex) with Oxiana Limited (Oxiana) was implemented on 1 July 2008 - on that date, Zinifex became a wholly owned subsidiary of Oxiana
    - Now Oz Minerals

Looks like you would've done quite well.
    Some big winners there.

Have you got a portfolio return figure?

Could easily start a stock picking newsletter or LIC with this track record.
    Everyone's starting one!

    Haven't had a detailed look @Snowball

Though I did note some purchase figures whilst adding to the 'shred' pile i.e.

    AZR at $0.24
CMQ at $1.91 (Luckily bailed at $1.85)
    ETR at $1.85
    JUM at $0.66
    PCG at $0.44
    REA at $1.90
    MGX at $0.73
    ZFX at $3.27

Looking further back in that mirror, my original brokers were DJ Carmichael & Co

First shares purchased were in 1992, GIO were one of those, as was Coca-Cola Amatil

It was Noel Whittaker's books that first motivated me to start saving and investing (first into investment property) and then shares (Coca Cola, GIO in 1992 .)

Now it's time to get selective with facts to show what a good stock picker you are.

Ah yes it's good to look back.

If only I held on to these shares instead of selling for tiny profit :

CBA $29 bought not long after GFC

    BHP $12

    OSH $1.20 (Slapping forehead)

TLS $3 ( giving self uppercut)

    SYR $2.30

That's all I remember. But I do recall wanting to slap down $100K on COH when they were $18 but decided not to. Ah the memories.

No, I'm a crap stock picker..hence my indexing strategy, as St Jack says (double negatives aside) "Nobody, knows nothing" , or maybe as clever as he is, he know's "Somebody, know's Something"

One share that I purchased at its absolute zenith, makes me looks like a genius if you turn the chart upside down

REA Group alone with dividends would have to be close to 100 bagger!

You can go tell the property investor guys that's how you played the property market :p

In that mirror, I had more to do with Navra Financial Planning than the fund itself, though I did take a stake and also leverage at a conservative (thankfully) rate, I also didn't venture into the Agri-Schemes and bailed when they didn't re-enter the market post GFC

On 9 AUGUST 2006 we purchased $50 k of Navra via LOC on a Professional Package Interest Discount; returns were as expected at that stage, I expected around $2,500.00 for a six month period

At that stage we had 4 IP's
    Total Val $1.4M
    Total Loan $640k
    LVR 45.7%

Not including the NAVRA Funds/LOC into the Loans (LOC Lazy Money still had around $100k sitting there).

I was assuming 10% return on Funds
Assuming 4% return initially on IP's (but lowered to 2.5%) Cash Flow only,no CG allowed for
Assuming 1% Costs/Repairs on Total IP Value

It's amazing how many people have been stung by Agri-schemes over the years, taking into account governments changing their minds on the tax status of some of these schemes, and making the tax status retrospective, thus forcing investors to pay back their previously allowed deductions

Haven't been involved in any of these schemes, but once you mention them it seems everyone has a yarn to tell on lemons, emu's, deers, olive trees, vineyards etc..

On that note, whilst Reminiscing on days of old, I also miss some of the old diehard SS posters.............whatever their viewpoint ;)

I could remember someone had posted their history somewhere, I hope you still holding JIN

We have held them as Windsor resources NL can’t remember why we ever bought them, we never sold them because they were worth nothing that certainly changed, they hit $9.20 today, I had a feeling about Mr. Veverka
