Hi, I got pinged early on in PC for not adhering to the rules and advertising something I had that I wanted to swap for something else. Fair enough.

Just wanted to check, I have something that is potentially of use to someone on the forum, it is currently advertised for sale elsewhere but if I get no more bites in a week I'll be giving it away for FREE.

Trouble is, it's a fairly specialist item and I would have no idea where to donate it. It's useless to the Salvo's but it could very well be very handy for the kind of folk that generally frequent the forum. It's too big for me to store and I will never use it but I loathe throwing working items away when there may be someone out there that can make use of it.

Anyway, enough rambling. If I were to post on the Coffee Lounge that I was offering this thing FREE to the first one to put their hand up for it am I allowed to do so?

    Cheers.

Also, you can put it on Gumtree under Freebies.

Now I really really want to know what this mysterious object is!

Thanks @Mumbai @Joynz would rather offer it on here first as it may be of genuine use to someone rather than a Freecycler just taking it/them to try and make a buck at a boot sale or it then ending in the bin.

Do you have a "buy nothing" group in your area on Facebook?

It's basically community groups giving away/swapping stuff with each other - cuts down on waste, costs and gives everyone a nice fuzzy feeling.

    Cheers

Gumtree is hard work, I advertised Freebies recently and was a bit taken aback by people not only calling and smsing saying they wanted it but asking if I could just pop it on a trailer and deliver as they were "a bit down on their luck". Would be great to gave a swap and freebies forum here, I don't Facebook or anything but it would make sense, if allowed.
For instance, I have some bits and pieces hanging around that I rescued from the skip when building the granny flat, brand new and couldn't bear them to go to landfill. They are still hanging around. I also have some vintage bits such as cast iron bed heads which make incredible and unique gates, how many gates can I have made? LOL

Not a big Facebook user @Jamie Moore in fact, I pretty much loathe it. They're on Gumtree "for sale" at the moment @moridog but it's quite a specialist thing so doubt there'll be any takers and I didn't want to offer it free on Gumtree yet for same reasons as above, (would rather offer free here to someone that may get use of it than free on Gumtree for anyone to grab them dump in the bush when they realize they can't sell it).

Sounds like a good game @bob shovel

Not, not specifically property related but definitely business related, (which could tenuously be linked to property i.e. if you are running a "property related business").

    Next Guess/Question?

Is it something you would put in an office room?

Not directly project management related, but again, tenuously linked.

    Not organic based.

Not a book or spruik material.

It can be used by one or many, either singularly or as a group.

It needs to be professionally installed.

    They're dying out.

It/they can be used in pretty much any type of business that has more than a couple of office based workers.
