    Hello
A property has just been listed this week and there's an open today prior to auction next month. Should I put an offer in today if it fits the bill ? Other properties in the street which are in better condition have been selling around 530 mark .
How do I go about this , I've not bought in this hot market .
    Exciting stuff

Yep. If it fits the bill, absolutely. Why not?

    Whereabouts?

    Newcastle.
Do I offer via email or pull the RE aside at the open. I am worried the RE could use this offer as a starting point to drive the price up with other lookers.
    Cheers

Put a duration on the offer e.g. 24 or 48 hrs

depends on the market, price, condition of the house, target etc. etc. etc.

if its a hot market, asap is my only advice,
as new castle seems quite hot, the earlier the better,

ive offered at 10pm at night via sms when I got an email spam from re.com at 8pm, and had it accepted by COB the next day

mind you, I was skeptical that it would go through as I was sure the agent would shop my offer

Well I wasn't even looking this weekend and found two properties have been listed in streets that are on our list for a possible PPOR .
Can I make two offers at once and choose which one I proceed with ?
Would I state offer available till x with finance pending or p&b as a way out ?

I don't want to mess anyone around but probably not able to purchase both ; )
