    Mainland likes after school programs like Chinese classes etc and culture - like they got in balywn GWSC and McKinnon - need lots of Asian eateries - u see the places in Carnegie (some parts like downtown Beijing) U can also see the Asian eateries in chadstone etc.

    Nah..too many power lines and substation is nearish.

    If I had to buy and I was going to buy, at the current rate, it looks like the logical bet, but even though I say this, I take a long time before I commit and also love analysing.

    Not just that but I think all signs point to a bubble bursting...OK I've heard these type of reports since maybe 2008? But prices were not ridiculous back then...

    Yes, true. Sorry, I was thinking Heidelberg West.

    Prices in Heidelberg Heights have certainly jumped as well.

    There is a lot of housing commission and ex-housing commission housing north of Bell St in Heidelberg West, scattered throughout various streets in the suburb. There is no where near as much of this type of property in the East, all in the one spot like Heidelberg West.

    That said, young couples and families are buying the ex-housing commission homes as they come up as they are relatively affordable for a house, compared to further East and South/Bayside. So the demographic of the suburb is slowly changing.
