Nundah is kind of unique in bne. Trendy. Tidy. But (all of a sudden) built up with highrises - but not in the cbd.
It's kind if like a bne version of chatswood but not Asian.
I see sustained growth there for townhouses and great growth for houses due to train now that is well established as a 'hub' for young professionals.
    Has everything in that 'village'.

Avoid apartments...homes are in very high demand in Nundah

Its very popular with people who work at Brisbane airport, not surprising given its proximity.

My best mate just sold a house in Nundah. He doubled his money in about 5 years, but he was sitting on two titles, with a habitable second dwelling already on the second lot that would have made it a cash flow positive for about 10, maybe 20k tops. He sold it for a million instead. I tried very hard to convince him to keep it.

It was very busy tonight with cafes and restaurants and bars. Outdoor dining etc. I don't know of any other hub like it apart from the classier James street or park(?) road in Milton.
    It's been an amazing transformation.

Good spot, I have always been a fan of Oxford st Bulimba as well. Restaurants, bars and independent cinemas with access to the cbd by citycat at the end of the street.

yes I knew there had to be another place similar on the south side. Oxford Street would be similar but just a little bit classier. Bulimba is very expensive

Shame that the street is vulnerable to flooding like much of Bulimba.

It seemed like every news crew was filming from the same location just down the road there during the floods.

    Park Rd Milton is terrible, imo.. There are much nicer ones around;
    Wilston village
    Stones Corner
    Racecourse Rd
    Latrobe trc
    Boundary Rd (west end)
    Blackwood st (mitchy)

I agree some of those are nicer but i was referring to level of activity. It's like bar after cafe after restaurant now in Nundah

New apartments yes...they are over priced.

But if you would have bought an older apartment in 2010...you would have almost doubled your money.

After living in Bulimba, I can say I'd rather live where I do now (just north of Nundah in Banyo) when it comes to city access. Bulimba is very close to the city as the crow flys but door to door took me about twice as long to get to the Valley when I lived there as opposed to now.

I am presuming this is because you have to take normal roads vs freeways??

Selling for $315k now.. Sold Price for 6/23 Melton Road Nundah Qld 4012
Wish I bought one in 2010 for $170k
No shortcuts (or freeways) from Bulimba to CBD.. traffic is hopeless..
Gateway bridge is still a long way around and Clem7 involves heavy traffic to reach the entrance

Hey at that sort of numbers I would take a few. That is 80% gain in 6 years!

If you bought 6....that would have given 800-900k in CG!

The stuff I bought in the Central Coast did 100% gain in 2010....also in Shellharbour.

The others were not that close.

For Brissie those numbers are excellent.

Last time this property was at that price range was 2000. In 2009 it sold for $330k. That's not a good investment so far
