Hi David, I just attended my first auction. I just needed photo ID to register on the day.

The other thing I did need to do was organise with my bank to increase the amount I could bank transfer in one transaction in case we needed to pay deposit (10%) on the day. This just involved signing a form in branch. I checked with the agent that bank transfer would be ok.

    Good luck:)

Just do a search within the site on Auctions..Everything has to be in place way before the auction day,and always take someone with you just in case you go into that zone where you hand stays in the air ...Plus obtain a copy of the title and the contract and clauses they intend to use on the day..

    Photo ID to register.
Your cheque book to pay the deposit if you win.
A copy of the fax or email from the vendor's solicitor with any contract amendments that you asked for and they agreed to.
    Your poker face.
A Buyers Agent or experienced negotiator if you think you won't be able to stick to your limit in the heat of the moment, or the property gets passed in and you have the right to negotiate.
