    Hi

Looking at doing renos in NSW that would cost more than $10k. Went to fair trading to read up about an owner builder permit. It says that you can't apply if doing renos on a property that is part of strata. Is there a separate permit or do you need a licensed builder?

you need to check the strata laws of your property. anything within strata is likely not required to need a owner builder licence as you are limited to what you can actually do and things like a new kitchen dont need builders licence
what are you planning to do?
