Being a Radiers supporter is not good for my health. No one should be that stressed out on a weekend. I was listening to the game on the radio coming back from Sydney on Sunday - it was a rollercoaster of emotions......and in typical raiders fashion, we lost the lead with less than 5 mins to go.

    Cheers

    Jamie

It will be a good semi final series. The roosters look hard to beat but flaky at times but so is souths.

Roosters often find it hard to fight back from deficit and if they have big lead they tend to lapse later to let opponents come back into the game. It makes watching them a roller-coaster ride. Storms always dangerous.

    I can't even watch.
The last few years have been pretty woeful.

They got there tonight quite comfortably, had to have a good one at home sooner or later.
Austin going off probably slowed the scoring a bit.

I don't know if my judgement is clouded by American sports but I don't see the logic in having your star players, such as Austin, play in these end of season games that don't mean a whole lot (we're not going to make the finals). It looks like he's got a severe shoulder injury now.....

One win away to secure a top 4 spot, which is a huge advantage in the play offs.
Hope Manly don't spoil it for us.

Looking at the top 8 I'd say the Sharks are the 6th or 7th best team there - they have done really well to get to 4th.

Love them to do well but they'll start underdogs in all their finals games.

My team, the Dragons, are 8th and I'd rank them 8th.

If Sharks lose against Manly, they will highly likely play the Dragons in the first play off game - 5th vs 8th.
But you're saying they'll start as underdogs against the Dragons?
I'm not so sure about that.

Good point - but hopefully Manly have nothing to play for by the time the game is on.

I'm expecting the Dragons and Rabbits to exit week one and the Sharks in week two - then the other 5 to be really close.

Hopefully that is the "kiss of death" and the opposite happens.

I reckon anything can happen in the finals.
What is known is that if you're in the bottom 4 of the 8, you're doomed.
Almost no chance of winning the comp given the current structure.
