    I was asking this question in may 2015 for 2014 matters. I wouldn't be thinking it will be much faster this year.

    The strategy should be :
    1. Prepare and lodge without the NRAS credit to get the neg gearing benefit now then
    2. Amend when its known and claim the Item 13 credit when its known.

    Its easier for a tax agent to amend of course.

    Im aware of many investors who have received all their money - but it remains a disgrace how hopeless this mob are. The guy responsible is Damien Coburn. You can find his number on the DSS website and you should call him and complain. I know of investors who have done this and their money has magically appeared within days.

    Is it possible those that were compliant got paid first? Ie had the rental valuations, increased less than cpi, had all the tenants salary details up to date, etc
