My tenants handed in their notice this week. After the poor service the agency have provided, is there a way out of our agreement? I signed the management agreement this year, but is there a way to cut ties with them?

Which state is the property in? How long is the agreement for? How much notice does it stipulate in the agreement? It's likely these might not apply once the property is vacant.

General process is to sign an agreement with new agency
New agency collects all the documentation and keys from old agency
New agency introduces themselves to tenant to start relationship off on right foot, provide contact/payment details etc.

In WA, I signed an extension of exclusive management authority till the 1st of April 2017. How do I find out whether I can break this management agreement?

Check your agreement with them and if there has been a fundamental breach by the PM then you can give them 28 days notice in writing that you are terminating the agreement and state the reasons why you are terminating?
