    HI @Simon Hampel

I'm not sure if this is just something I experience or others do too but sometimes I will miss an alert someone made and then some time in the future I will go in a thread a notice one was made to me or about me etc, but it never showed up in my alerts...

    Just wondering why this happens?

    Thanks

    You're banned.

I think the science behind some of your issues is that... if you get alert for a new reply but do not click you won't get notified for further new replies until you manually return to the thread and reset the alerts .

    Make sense

Im not sure about the tags. Best to call the help line

If someone @-mention's you like this: @Leo2413 ... you should receive an alert.

If someone replies to a thread you are watching, you should also receive an alert - but also, as @bob shovel mentioned, you only receive one alert about a new reply until you actually go and read the thread - at which point it resets and you'll receive another alert for the next new reply, otherwise for a busy thread you may receive hundreds of alerts.

    Does that answer your question?

There are other things that cause alerts to be generated as well.

Found a missed area of alert notifications.

@sim When posts are deleted by mods it's not coming up as an alert. Or is our meant to be like that?

(Yes i know why and was kind of expecting it, as long as you're alerted to the root cause I'll happily take one for the team ;) )

It only comes up as an alert if I choose to alert you about it. If it's something important I generally will, so if I didn't, I didn't consider it something worth bothering you with (ie you did nothing wrong - your post being deleted was likely because it referred to another post which was deleted and thus no longer made any sense)
