NSW North Ryde meetup Tues 24th November @ The Ranch Hotel

I just spoke with the Ranch. For a function room on a weeknight we just need a minimum spend of $500 (and we can get the 10% discount I get with my volleyball club too).

I think there's not enough interest to cover that function room cost for December, so we'd be looking at the bistro for an event on this month but there will be enough interest to get us a function room booking for February.

Function rooms can take up to 120 guests so all good on that side of things.

The staff member also told me other nights of the week are less noisy at the bistro since Tuesday is the only night with Trivia.

Would North Epping Bowling Club allow us to use their BBQ's for a group function? Should be quite mid week and we could easily ferry people from the station.

 

Sounds good for a BBQ... But how about the play ground at Epping Oval? BBQs there and closer to the station. Good for kids too. Bowling club better for drinks I suppose though!

 

I can't do December or January but will be keen to hear how a function room pans out or an alternate venue if one is tried out.

 

BBQ options are good too...Is the Epping Hotel up for consideration ? given it's directly opposite the station for easy access.

 

Is this on for the 15th ?

Next question... location. We aren't enough for a function room and the Ranch bistro could be noisy particularly as its a Tuesday. I suppose if there's just a few of us maybe a different venue altogether or an outside table at the Ranch might work?

Sounds like enough to make it worthwhile, would probably be there after 7, what time do they do food till, sure it would be later than that.
