Would having no carport, garage be pulling you off? I would assume having no cover for your car in Melb is pretty inconvenience with the crappy weather? What happens when there's hailstorm...?

    Really depends on the place.

Most areas in Perth, if you don't have a double lock up garage you're looked at strangely. If you're in Paddington in Sydney you likely don't have a car space at all.

At the end of the day, cater to your target market when selling or leasing.

Not sure if your opening sentence is referring to something good or something bad. :D:p

I'd imagine in Melbourne it's a negative...here in Perth it's probably not so much of an issue in certain inner city areas.

Yes as @D.T. said, it's going to depend on area. Outer, newer suburbs in Perth it's a no go if you don't have double lockup, theatre, 4 bedrooms, study, rumpus. ESPECIALLY if you don't have any children. You absolutely must have lots of rooms. ;)

Looking at this PPOR in inner melbourne, lovely peaceful area but...only thing is having no cover for car space and unlikely to put in a carport due to heritage facade.... Just one thing that pulls me off... as Melb really has crappy weather where it kept raining everyday in Spring....especially..

It ticks every box except the carport ... Am just wondering should i ignore the problem and just secure it for the next 10 years or so.....Would it be a huge turn down for other buyers you reckon?

Didn't rain in Melbourne today, or yesterday, or the day before that...

Phrase is "putting you off". "Pulling you off" is something completely different.
