Welcome Where abouts overseas are you guys? The world is such a crazy place right now, hopefully you will learn lots from & enjoy the forums!
Welcome! Are you in an apartment in Singapore? I can't imagine being stuck in a tiny space with small kids for any length of time!
Welcome masterblaster. Love Singapore! One of my favourite places to visit. I've been following Singapore's response to the virus closely. They were doing much better than most other countries for quiet some time until the second wave of infections hit recently. How are things on the ground?
Singapore did really well for a long time. We have had temperature checks at work, shopping centres, schools, pools, government buildings etc since mid Feb. Unfortunately the last 3 weeks the number of cases has continued to grow (imported and local transmission). April 3 they announced lock down, schools now closed compulsory wearing of masks if out and about, working from home etc. This will be in place for the next 4 weeks. Apart from that its mostly calm, some panic buying on and off but can get most things. Fortunately we live in a big condo complex so can walk around when not too hot however all facilities (pools, gym etc) are closed until mid may. We have struggled with home sickness and with all this going on it has increased that home sickness. Just happy we are all healthy and work has not been impacted. Thanks for all the welcome messages and hope everyone stays well. Does anyone know how i can comment on forums? in particular i would like to post on this one Government says tenants don't have to pay rent if under hardship
You need to make a minimum number of posts before you can post in Property Market Economics or Politics. I'm not sure what the number is - make a few contributions as you can to the other forums and you should be ok.
Cheers for the update. I'd be homesick as well considering the situation but you can at least rest a little easier knowing Singapore has one of the best healthcare systems in the world.
