    Hello

Decided to join the PC forum after visiting a number of times as a guest. I always come across some interesting information around. I currently live and work in Sydney as a construction worker. I had purchased my first home in Newcastle 2009 using the first home owners grant. Which then became my first investment property 2 years later. I also have another investment property in Beenleigh QLD (unit) that i purchased last. Hoping to learn more about property investing and looking forward to purchasing more properties.

    Cheers Kevin

I am not to sure in regards to tennant "quality" comparisons but my current tennant in beenleigh, an office worker, had a job transfer from melbourne. Is on a 12 month lease. Wife and baby moved up with him as well. The tenants before that where migrants both computer programmers on working visas trying to get permanent residence.
My tennants in newy have been there 3 years a young family who seem to take care of the house like its their own property. The tennants before them have been a bank manager who wanted to build a house in the area so decided to rent first stayed 2 years and he eventually bought a house nearby. Another tennant was there for 12 months a medical professional working in the local hospital and wife a school teacher.

Thanks for the welcome rolf. Are you from newy yourself?

I thought riggers only worked at the casino. They're building one at Barangaroo.

Welcome to the site ,and it does not matter 1% what work you do in a highly skilled job being a Rigger just as long as you have a exit plan..

    Thanks for the welcome willair.

I don't think it matters what kind of job or industry you work in. Its what you do with your money that counts. I have worked along side with many different trades in mining, power stations, ship building, high rise construction, heavy industries and come across old guys who say they been working on some big money projects over the years but have nothing to show for. Some can't afford to retire and don't even have a house.

I was going to say it was a 'dog' of a job but I know better.

Yes that is the sad part with the industry .. i have worked on several short term shut -downs a long time ago within Australia and South East Asia and New Zealand some for 50 days straight and walk out with 25k in my back pocket but most would just **** and smoke it up against the wall , nothing worse then watching a Man in his late 50,s and his body bent from working for years and thinking it will not stop and dreaming of living of his super..The only ones are the rogues gallery of Union people that seem to come out the other end un-hurt with serious money..Well done on what you have done so far and what you will do in the future..
