I presently own a NRAS property at Calamvale which is going ok. I am looking to buy another property in South East QLD and have been advised to look at Coomera or North Lakes. I also have a friend who wants to rent in the Redland Bay Area for around $450 a week and I have found a house at Victoria Point that is for sale for $450k that he would like for me to buy and he would rent it from me. The property is around 10-15 yrs old. Just looking for advice.
The sentiments on here about mixing business and family/friends are pretty one sided! When are you looking to purchase next? I have been enjoying myself here recently as I have another 6 weeks until I can even look at borrowing money (due to a job change).
I have someone looking at North Lakes and Coomera tomorrow. My mate and his family wish to find a house in the Redland area by February. Just want an opinion on these areas. If buying in Coomera or North Lakes I have been advised to buy a new place. Worried about oversupply in those areas. At Redlands I am assured of rent for at least 2 yrs. just want people's opinion.
Regardless of the area, the yield, the dollars down, whatever - my opinion is don't mix business (investing) and pleasure (family & friends).
