New social distancing rules come into force for PropertyChat today

    Given the new social distancing rules that are being strictly policed here in NSW, I've had to make the difficult decision to ensure the safety of all visitors to PropertyChat.

    So as of today, the 1st of April, 2020 - I am implementing a one-in-one out rule for visitors to PropertyChat.

    A maximum of 10 people will be allowed to visit the site at any one time, and they must strictly keep a minimum of 1.5 metres away from other visitors to the site.

    Once one visitor leaves, another will be allowed to visit.

    I ask that all members wash their hands and sanitise their mouse and keyboard when entering PropertyChat - and please try to avoid touching your screen.

    Further restrictions may need to be applied as necessary.

    I'm still waiting to hear details about what stimulus measures the site will be eligible for.

    While I support such measures in order to control the spread of infection I feel you haven't gone far enough and have not considered the elderly or the disabled.

    With this in mind may I suggest only those who hold a Seniors Health Care Card or other concession Government concession card have exclusive access between the hours of 7am to 8am. The hours can be modified should you consider it necessary.

    What happens if one as only has a seniors business card as they won't even let a person in for the 7-8 running with the bulls at the local supermarket with that card..

    And a limit of two posts per day per person.

    Just blown the limit but it's after 8am and I haven't got any concession cards.

    Rather tough but at least you get free entertainment watching the gathering of the herd.

    I washed my hands as per instructions, and sanitised my screen, but I had to go hunting for my mouse and keyboard. I haven't used them for some time.

    I'm having some trouble though. Maybe I dipped my phone in the Dettol for too long when I sanitised it.

    @Simon Hampel - Will the same requirements be had in the chatroom?

    I feel that it would be better if we were able to keep at least 1.5 m away from our phones or keyboards and only use voice recognition for creating threads or responding to posts we would be much safer in this brave new world of Covid-19.

    Thanks for inflicting these tough new measures, we are now much safer.

    Can you extend the editing period to compensate for the restriction on the number of posts?
