Indeed they are. Too many ( mostly the inexperienced, hobbyist style ) people sucked into the 'Sydney Doom' hype that they are being blindsided with their wealth creation.

I noticed that result over the weekend and thought it was a bit over the top.. the level of finish doesn't seem that high? and its only a 607sqm block, I thought for that price it must have been 804sqm.
I think they could have bought a nicer home in a better school catchment on a bigger block for that money.. But go Kedron!!!

I agree, and its these small pockets which are standing out at the moment, especially OO higher end stock. The money is coming if the product/location is desirable.

I think this is the one you are referring to. Keep in mind that house is on an 809sqm block, whereas this one is just 607sqm.

Well this is about same proximity to the CBD, its ONLY 337sqm and lower spec. 3 bedroom. Sold $1,695,000

So if you wanted a similar house size plus spec to the one in Brissy...you'll be paying many millions. And if it has a view of the beach or harbour.. add a few more million for good measure. :) Sydney (within 10-15km of the CBD) is fast becoming exclusively the playground of the rich.

Not according to the REA. She said the site was split and the pool was filled in.

I agree. I think they paid too much considering what else is out there. Could have got a great Qlder on a bigger block even in Woollowin
