Hi everyone Been lurking on the forum for a month or two, I live on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, am a full time trader and work from home, and want to diversify my knowledge base, and get more actively involved in some investment properties. Hi Guys, thanks for the welcome. Short term (daily charts and shorter) i trade currencies. although every year I do this my timeframe gets longer and longer. When I started I traded 5 minute charts, and now nothing under a day... longer term is easier, although any sort of daytrading is incredibly difficult. Longer term (monthly reallocations) I trade global ETF's and US stocks, I have some simple systems that I follow which give steady if not spectacular returns. Most of my returns come from the longer term systems. Cheers gav
It is tough - I did it for a couple of years and almost lost my personality Staring at a screen all day started to do my head in. That was 5 min charts as well - I prefer longer term now.
Agreed, it's very tough and can be isolating. A bit like a drug though, hard to wean yourself off it.
Welcome Gav. There's also a section on this forum and investchat devoted to stock market. Majority here have interests in property. Looking forward to your contributions.
