    Hi all,
After a few years here as a journalist, I'm over the moon about starting as the new editor at Australian Property Investor Magazine.
I've been busting to tell the forum. I'm always happy to hear what experienced property people like yourselves would like to read about in the mag. Feel free to send me a message anytime. Can't wait to get out the first issue.

    Congratulations!

It would be good to have some input from this forum to some of the articles.

Congrats @Daisycutter4 I like the case studies, expert views and stories around how people add value to their properties through creative means. One of the things that has been mentioned on the forum several times is that most (if not all) of the stories are based around how property is great and has made people successful and financially free, however, we all know that this doesn't always paint the real life picture and there are risks associated and sometimes people unfortunately, do not have a great experience and sometimes come into financial hardship. One angle may be to look at case studies where people have been through a tough time and learn't lots of lessons but is now prospering after a 'never give up' mentality and belief in themselves and the market.

I'd like to see a section on tenancy horror stories or something to that effect. Maybe a "noob investor of the week" segment so I can finally fulfil my life long dream of featuring in a magazine?

I like this a lot. We have been running a "My property nightmare" series that touches on this and looks for "lessons learned" at the end of it, but a more broader discussion on some of the negs would be in order. I have to admit, it's not always easy finding subjects who want to "go public" with their misfortune stories, but these are often the tales where the best lessons are learned.

We ended up having to revolve each month between Tasmania, ACT and NT. It was actually hard to come up with new stories each month, but the real driver is space. There's costs around producing the mag that do restrict the number of pages we can have each month. That said, if you have a great story about ACT you want us to research, drop me a line anytime :)
