Maybe more suitable for Development/ Reno category?

Doing PPOR electrical planning soon and I'm looking at the pricing for each light battens ($55 for battens + chanaman + bulb), double that for one with noggin, and LED downlights ($140-150 each ). Hasn't include alarm systems and CCTV camera.

Just wondering - what do I need to prep in terms of cabling, Quickconnect plugs, etc if I want to source my own bulbs/ LED? For internal and external lights.

We can source most Phillips lights with about 50-70% discount due to access from work. I'm hoping just making cable allowances plus light plugs minus the lights will save quite a bit of moollah, plus and we will get the specific lights we want.

Probably have to ask an electrician. Are you building this or is it a project home?

ok, unlikely you can change cabling etc, they'll give you options to put bayonet points or downlights. Just throw a bayonet point every single place you want a light whether downlight or not. Which builder?

Building in Vic, Boutique homes. Can I use bayonet points to later put my own led?

Yep. Your electrician after the build will just swap them out.
