    Not sure if it will work long term - ask me in another 5 years (we haven't been through any major sharemarket and economical disasters or anything....)

    I've only pumped serious money into the strategy over the past few years, and managed about 8%pa yield (not reinvested) across the REIT/Shares portfolio. Please note some of the REITs are higher income unlisted ones.

    As to seller's remorse - not really . The main reason is that I hold multiple positions of each share/reit, so "selling" really means "lightening" the holding. Usually the opposite - buying then having the price drop and not having any cash left is the more common "doh!" moment.

    Also, I have to warn everyone there are tax implications in taking profit rather than accepting divs (CGT vs franked income).
