Not interested in the slightest - except for those stories where people like J K Rowling fall off some "rich list" due to the volume of their charitable givings. Getting a bit raunchy there MTR ... the new Wonder Woman?

Fascinated by net worth? Seems they must love their day job.. Extract - cnbc April 2017 Lets look at some in the White House (Trump Administration) Here's what Trump's senior White House employees are worth JARED KUSHNER AND IVANKA TRUMP Kushner, the president's senior adviser, and Ivanka Trump, Kushner's wife and the president's daughter, resigned from all of their business entities and sold off 58 assets. But the couple held onto much of what they have built into a global and real estate-focused empire. The documents show that have at least $240 million in assets. GARY COHN One of the wealthiest members of the Trump administration — aside from the president himself — is Gary Cohn, who left a top position at Goldman Sachs to become Trump's chief economic adviser. His financial disclosure shows he received at least $40 million in income from Goldman Sachs-related dividends, interest, salary and bonuses, about half of which was in some form of stock compensation. STEVE BANNON Trump's chief strategist, Steve Bannon, disclosed assets between $13 million and $56 million, including his influential political consultancy, Bannon Strategic Advisors Inc., worth as much as $25 million KELLYANNE CONWAY Even before being named counsellor to the president, Conway was worth as much as $40 million, derived mostly from her investments and her salary at her personal political consulting firm, "the polling company/WomanTrend."
You know I love this sort of trivia.... but... but....but....... George Clooney is not just a pretty face, just sold this business for around $1Billion George Clooney just sold his tequila business for up to $1 billion Lets see what's his net worth today $500 M, I don't think they tacked on the profits yet.
To be honest the only person's net worth I'm interested in is myself. I never get the 'what's your net worth' type threads on PC. Honestly who cares. What's way more interesting to me is the strategies and ideas ppl had to keep building the wealth. Something I could possibly learn from.
I partially agree. These threads might often be titled "How inadequate are you?", but at the same time, the can act as a motivator when you see what can be achieved through property investments.
I hear what your saying mate....i just think the results of so many of what can be achieved thorough real estate is so widely documented already...... also i hate to say it but i think the ppl who post massive net worths or huge gross portfolios etc..i get the sense the newbies who read that may get misguided and think they too can achieve it, and easily and quickly because they don't see the colossal effort and sacrifices it took to get there. But anyway i agree with you sources of inspiration is always a positive thing. Don't mind me..turned 35 yesterday so just being abit pouty.
Would you believe they sell books on this, successful people/high net worth Would you believe some are best sellers and posted on PC? Check out Warren Buffet
@MTR hey Marisa, I am not sure my comment was taken the way it was intended. All I meant was I don't see how important knowing what others net worth is tbh...When I look at other successful investors.. what I get interested in is if they have a great strategy or uncovered some interesting areas of markets where opportunities lie and they have capitalised on it. Something I haven't thought of or aware of. People can post all kinds of net worth....doesn't really mean much... but if they post a certain strategy or market condition where X, y and Z is working well with X results then I get interested and that motivates and inspires me. But I guess we are all different, if some people get inspired by knowing the net worth of others then all good.
