Am I the only one who randomly checks out famous people's net worth ie sports stars, celebs, etc.. Curiosity gets the better of me, and so easy to access thanks to google
No interest in that lot. Most celebs and sports stars are worth shed loads, so why bother? There is too much focus on that self-absorbed crowd as it is. Maybe it's because I'm an old *******, and well outside the demographic target audience of all ads/tv/mags etc. Rather hear about a surgeon/scientist who has found a cure for cancer, or whatever.
Never crossed my mind to look at that sort of stuff. More interested in how people who are financially independent get there, especially from a low base. Celebs and sports stars though, can't seem to get interested in reading about them tbh.
Same with me,no interest at all. BTW I am sure they have plenty of people who tell them were they are on the BRW Rich List
Never, I'm really not interested in what they're worth. I'm interested in how they became wealthy though.
I usually Google the vital statistics of the actors my wife finds hot so that I can tell her they are mostly all like 5 foot 8 and 70kg. I know it's petty, but it's pretty fun.
@JDP1 - you'll have to find a cheaper supplier for noodles (or buy a packet of birds nest/vermicelli and use powdered stock cubes).
more interested to read about what they did after their stardom. Like Kobe's business venture after his retirement. etc.
No. But I can tell you that earlier in the week towards the end of a big emergency operation, I did comment to my junior about the money sports and movies stars earn compared to us. This whilst doing a very stressful and physically demanding operation. Was unpaid too... I almost never claim overtime.
The only famous person I check on is myself . I do the net worth calculations at the end of each Quarter and I have being doing it since January 2003 (over 13 years).
How does a show like "Keeping up with the Kardashians" still continue to be aired? Or mags like "No Idea" still sit on supermarket checkout counters (and get sold)?
I'd love to see the graph with some labels as to choices you've made! You can remove the money column of course. I think @Steven Ryan did this once. Made for interesting viewing
bv clearly many people read/watch this rubbish and follow their lives. Everyone's happy they are all making money
