Want to trim the garden even though it's getting all demoed and landscaped in 2-3 months. I'll need the hand-mower after landscaping is done anyway so not a waste of money.

What would you recommend? Something handheld, electric and easy to use.

Hedge shears - hand or electric.

I use one all the time in a similar situation. It come up way cleaner than a whipper snipper.

It's a slasher - fits nicely on the tractor's driveshaft.

Your block would be a couple of acres wouldn't it?

    How I wish...

a couple of acres in this area would be worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Maybe more.o_O

A whipper snipper should do it imo. About 150 bucks from Bunnings for something half decent.

Call the scouts it a local kid, they'd so it for a couple of bucks.

    Watching with interest.

I have about 10sqm of grass that needs to be mowed too, and I can't justify the space that a regular lawn mower is going to take up for this.

Thanks. It's not a cost thing for me. A good lawn mower costs what, $500-1k? Meh. It's just the space it takes up! I can't justify it!

Yeah with 10sqm, really not worth a push lawn mower in terms of space it'll occupy. I think one of these handheld ones will more than suffice.

when that thing came up o_O

How about you try my shears idea, @jaybean tries the whipper snipper on wheels and we'll all benefit from your review :D:D:D:D
