ahh thanks, its all cool, both my wife and I flipped over to new jobs at the end of last year, me as a contractor, so we are both in bank purgatory for a little while. All good, just using the time to accumulate in shares and managed funds.

    Hi Kate

I'm late to this thread but would certainly second Alan's post. The concept of vendor finance (or wrapping as it used to be known many moons ago re: Rick Otton/Steve McKnight style) isn't new however the properties available will certainly be restricted and will carry a higher IR to compensate. I would recommend you approach an excellent broker (many on this forum who have already replied) to seek out alternative methods of finance. Buying in the open market and not being limited to a mere handful of over-priced and convoluted property deals is far better in the long term if doable. Best of luck.

Thank you Rolf. It looks like I need to start trying to get a pre-approval for however much I can and then work with what I have.

@Propertunity Why not Allan ? is it because the Sydney price is too hot at the moment ?

No, not at all. Sydney has been hot for years.
It is because of the reasons outlined (that you must have missed)
