We’re looking to buy a home in Sydney and have found a gorgeous home in a good suburb but the only problem is it directly backs the M2. It is priced a little lower than the median price of the suburb and is a unique & large property. We have fallen in love with it but it does have a constant noise in the backyard and we’re worried that it won’t sell in the future or if it does not for anymore than what we’ve paid for it. Any advice? Tia
It will likely rise with the rest of the market. You will pay a discount due to it's location, and you will have the same issue when you sell. Your market will be limited, just as the market is limited now to people who are prepared to live backing on to a major road.
