My IP cook top failed it’s gas check and needs to be replaced urgently.

I don’t know the exact cutout size of the old glass top Roden gas cooktop currently there.

But the glass top is 980 x 445 mm as per the photos the compliance person sent me.
(If anyone knows how to get the Roden cut-out size, I would appreciate a heads up - trying to avoid an unsightly gap!).

At Appliances Online anything over 909mm jumps up to $2,400!

Has anyone used the brand Artusi - cheapish and has a 5 year warranty.

    What is “cheapish”?

Can’t hurt to give it a try. How are reviews?

That’s the same ‘look’ as the Roden - not quite as wide though. I’ll investigate.

I was thinking a stainless finish might be better for tenants rather than glass - though the top on this one has lasted well.

Has anyone had a piece of metal installed to cover the gap when you put a slightly smaller cook top in?

I saw an ad for ‘cook top gap filler’ from Mr Appliance online - basically 2 bits of metal you slide under the short edges after it’s installed (2 at 60 x 5cm wide for $67!)
