Largely comes down to the connection type your are on - and that's not something you have any real control over other than by moving house.

    In order of worst-to-best (IMO):
    1. Satellite
    2. Fixed Wireless
    3. FTTN
    4. FTTC
    5. HFC
    6. FTTP
Going with a good provider will help you when you do have difficulties - I recommend Aussie Broadband (although I'm still personally with Internode because it's non-trivial for me to move providers due to other services I use).

    Avoid Telstra at all costs.
