    Hi All

I am building the granny flat and I would like to have NBN for the granny flat

I called Telstra and Optus and they said that it does not have second address so they can not install
NBN for the granny flat. They said I have to sudivide the land. But we can not do that with the granny flat in Sydney NSW

do you have any ideas how it works? has anyone get NBN working for granny flat?

hope you can help! thank you very much!

From everything I have heard - Including from a guy in a management role with the NBN, you dont want NBN !

Tough - whether you like it or not, you will have to connect if you want a landline-based broadband service.

You can connect the GF, NBN calls the setup a multi dwelling unit (MDU)

Give it a separate wifi connection of the main dwelling

I spent some time at NBN doing greenfield MDUs and they are so pedantic with addressing that it became the bane of my life. All it would take was a dot in the wrong spot and the whole shooting match would grind to a halt. I don't know if they would do it like the MDUs I was doing as the infrastructure required and cost for just 2 connections would be prohibitive.
