Just wanted to ask the question, how does Native Title work over the title holder that farms or controls the land..
Recent developments around the village of Tabulam in nth nsw have granted native title holders the Western Bundjalung People as the traditional owners of the land ...

    Ultra-simplified version...

Usually there is a land council that organises everything.

Certain landholders might need to pay a lease to the land council. The land council then dispersed the money to the traditional owners.

If the land is in private ownership, NT is extinguished.
If the Crown can prove that the land has been used continuously eg buildings, leases, licenses etc - then NT is likely to have been extinguished.
