    @big max and I have a big bet going on here, enough to see Woolworth shares increase when the loser has to pay up. He's betting the Gold Coast suburbs below outperform the Melbourne suburbs I chose below. We will see in a year which out performs.

    Real estate medians as of Jan 2nd data showing....
    Williamstown 1,204,000
    Maidstone 670,000

    Mermaid beach 1,200,000
    Mermaid waters 746,000

    This thread isn't about Gold Coast vs Melbourne, for everyone else name your best 2 suburbs you think will outperform all others, can be any state, any price point, must be houses not units. We can look back and see who picked the best growth suburbs.
    Use realestate med price and post it up with your choices as above.

    This is exactly how gurus pick high growth suburbs, just like big max and I, we guess.

    Lalor (VIC) - $479,000 (Jan 9, 2017)

    Still 4 months to go.... medians on realestate.com

    Williamstown median 1,350,000
    Maidstone median. 722,440

    Mermaid beach. 1,285,000
    Mermaid waters. 850,000

    It's gonna be close.... I can taste that cake

    Not sure what data you are using for growth %, might just keep it simple with realestate.com as that's what we originally used so data isn't skewed.

    Years gone by already @big max. Median prices are in...

    Williamstown is now at 1,460,000, rounding it off to a 17.5% increase
    Maidstone is at 774,500, up 13.5%

    Mermaid beach now at 1,455,000 up 17.5%
    Mermaid waters now at 883,000, up 15.5%

    Well done mate, that was so close, I owe you that cake, let me know where to send it, easier to send cash that way you can buy a fresh one.

    @Al1979 kallangur now at 380,000, up 4%
    Lalor now at 622,000, up 23%, mate lalor did awesome.


    @Perthguy karrinyup now at 802,500, up 2.8%
    Cloverdale now at 435,000, down -9.4%

    I should have said Heidelberg West. If I did, how would I have gone?
