Like a flat tyre is only flat on the bottom.

Actually i do like the builder, they are very tidy and easy-going, so as long as all you guys said its an easy job, I feel much better now.

Thank you everyone, after all, I just want to hear other ppl to tell me everything will be ok ;)

    So what happened?
Did they put a level on the header beam to check if it's level or not?
The length of the posts are irrelevant if your ground is not precisely level in the first place.

I put a level on the beam and actually it is not as bad as I thought, the builder said he did this on purpose to allow the water run smoothly, and yes you are right, because my ground is not level, so it makes the verandah looks strange...

So how much out is it from one end to the other, less than 20mm ?
I kind of suspected the builder would say that, but really, the fall should be in the guttering, not the header beam.

I dont know how to measure the difference from one end to the other, should be around 20mm mark. I knew the builder said that just to cover himself, but doesn't bother to argue anymore.

Water level, or even a garden hose.
