Does anyone watch this show (on Foxtel) with the two twin brothers who find, buy and make-over homes for couples?

What do you think of it?

If it's the US show I'm thinking of, one of the brothers is a toss and the other one isn't as much of a toss.

    LOL!

The whole show is a toss.

I watch it for the process and the results, but many of those couples I want to slap in the head, and the scripting is very USA cheese.

But, I put up with that rubbish to see the results.

Yanks have strange tastes I reckon. A lot of their decor choices I find ...garish.

    Too much old meets new?

Most of them looks like 'country' modern? I still like some of the transformation

US shows are cheesy, but I find I like it better than the very flat narrative, e.g. prefer kitchen nightmare USA compared to UK

There are a few copies of this now too.
    The scripted ones are awful.

    Operative word being; "kitchen"

Anything kitchen show that involves a competition and elimination; leaves me "as cold as a mother-in-law's stare".

I think that's because they don't have Gordon Ramsay in it.

    LOL!

    Exactly.
Just because they have a rude prick in it, doesn't mean they're a Ramsay.

One of my favourite reno shows was the series with Vanilla Ice where he buys the repo in Florida and does it up - it was bloody funny.

I loved Wes and his "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!" whenever the shoit was about to hit the fan...

I like the Canadian show 'Income Property'. The results are more in line with Australian aesthetics and there is a lot of technical information about how things are done. It is still over the top but I find it less over the top than the US shows.

I don't have Foxtel but watch Property Brothers when I am in the US. I like a lot of their shows. Its the clients I want to slap. I really enjoyed when they built a house for their parents and all the boys and dogs got involved! The one I can't stand is the Like it or List it!!! those two are such pains!!!!!

I've OD'd on the new Channel 9 Life station recently. I want to slap all those US Princesses and their husbands. On the other hand I had withdrawals last week when my new favourite show, Escape to the Continent, was replaced by some summer sports program. Sunday night, Seven 2 I think.

I started watching this show but after 4 episodes it got sad when I could nearly tell what the couple would say each time.

    "I love this house
Why have the brothers shown us a house over our budget
    I am scared of renovation"

It is like they do not know what show they were on.

The brothers had another show where couples were selling a house (and buying a house) and the couples always thought their house was worth 10% more than what the brothers said it was worth.

The best property show on Foxtel I think is location location (uk)
