For any drummers following this thread (or those who appreciate great funky music) this from Larnell Lewis and other band members is amazing. Perfect blend of technique and from the heart musicianship:

Only one pedal maters - DISTORTION! Or back in my band days working with crazy, LOUD lead guitarists (hence why I’m deaf nowadays) it was called a Fuzz Box:cool:.

Oooh... yours is bigger than mine  (well definitely bigger speaker and probably bigger sound! I have a 20W Roland solid state digi-mod)

Not so sure about sticking a Tube Pilot ahead of your AC - I thought the AC drives pretty well on its own?... depends what sort of sound profile you are after I guess.

Ok, I checked the AC4TV out - I am assuming there is no effect loop from the spec page. This could mean any delay or reverb pedal may not work the way you are intending (i.e. make a totally different sound).

Basically, if you delay/rev your signal going before the amp, your delayed/reverbed signals will feed into the preamp valve. Usually, these signals are softer, so you may get a combination to driven direct sound, and clear reverb/delayed sounds.

I saw a youtube clip where a guy was talking about this - he prefers it that way because that's his signature sound, but may not suit you.

Ideally, you feed the delay and other effects between the pre and power (available as an effects loop on bigger amps) OR you mic up the AC4TV and DI into a PA.

You could also perhaps use a DI box to attenuate the speaker out, and feed to an PA.

You'd really want to try the set up out first before committing $ to it.

Thanks @The Y-man. Sorted. A friend who is a (or was due to Covid-19) working musician as well as a sound engineer came over. He set it up with three simple pedals - a Boss RV-6 and SD-1 and ditto looper.

I think he had a good time doing it too. Must have as he spent close on three hours with a strat just to make sure all was as it should be.

If Mozart did, at the age of 14, transcribe this from memory, it's an incredible achievement.

A great piece of music in any case.

Many years ago, we wandered into York Minster. The choir was singing this piece - the soaring high notes just as we walked in. It was magic.

You are very fortunate. While I have attended recitals of choral music it has never been in that setting.

It's a weakness and I've got to stop but couldn't pass this up. Hardly out of its case and I reckon a deal at $780.

I've performed in choral music at a cathedral in Sydney, Sydney Opera House, Myer Music Bowl and on TV. Never in such a setting though as an English cathedral.

I have a nephew who has recently taken up singing. I've had the pleasure of hearing his voice improve in leaps and bounds. He will be the Phantom of the Opera in Albury Wodonga.

That's awesome @geoffw. Lucky man as is your nephew.

Unfortunately, while I do sing after a fashion attempting to get a tune down which I am playing, my voice is akin to the melodious harmony of a herd of cows farting on a foggy morn.
