Should have added the outcome involves a lot of practice. Supposedly 10,000 hours needed before you reach a high level of expertise. I've got another 9,500 hours to go.

Same here. And given how simple the portfolio has become there’s getting to be less and less of anything happening. Which in my case I consider a good thing.

Yeah. I've gone to the simplification level which suits me now so I'm not considering any further refinement.

You going to take up drumming again? Serenade the chooks with a variation of a Steve Gadd paradiddle. Or use a cardboard box from those home deliveries from a craft beer supplier. Cheaper way of doing it.

Have been tempted at times but all those years of excessive decibels has caused a lot of hearing damage. Hence trying to prevent the loss of what little I have left:(.

I'm sure you could do some very quiet drumming?

If you're hearing that, then maybe your hearing is better than you thought or wished

But he's probably being told this 600 times a day, he just doesn't hear it half the time.

He's a drummer. It's normal for the vocalist to tell drummers where to get off.

Just so the muso at the back of the stage doesn't feel left out.

As for drummers again what the hell is it with the incredible talent of young Asian females. The video below is of Senri Kawahuchi one of the best younger drummers (not just female or young for that matter) on the planet with her band. This was her a few years ago at 16. Amazing.

Some great guitar work on there as well:

Another amazing guitarist is Joe Satriani. I love his use of effects. Here’s him with Chickenfoot doing an old Deep Purple song, Highway Star. I love the lead guitar substituting for keyboard in one of the solos in the middle of the song.

Great band line up of vocalist Sammy Hagar (ex–Van Halen and Montrose), bassist Michael Anthony (also ex–Van Halen), guitarist Joe Satriani, and drummer Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers).

    Well worth watching:
