APRA had already started discussing finance restrictions in late 2015.

I knew that what the Chinese were doing in areas like Epping, Eastwood, and North Ryde was not sustainable. I did not expect the Chinese govt to put in controls....

I did not know about NSW increase to stamps.

Did not know about the Royal Commission.

However, there is always a series of events which contain a market....it has happened every cycle. I just did not know 3 of these....

This is a pretty useless post now but just wanted to chime in on the 'Are people in Mount Druitt earning twice as much as Logan residents!?'

Dont own any property in mount druitt but did in the next suburb and also in logan. Rental applications that i have recieved are usually around double the income of logan.

The Druie is Bogan central just pipping my own suburb cabramatta , close enough to one myself.

Bogans that got smart or lucky and bought a house in the last 10 years are now quite rich bogans. Maybe you lose the status in that case?

This is a great story keep it going sash.

This is getting personal. Tools, watches and similar things has nothing to do with this site or property investing. People should be able to talk their opinions about any area.

If they believe and area is crap then fine. Feel free to argue otherwise. I don’t think though @sash or anyone has to be attacked for their views.

    Let’s be civil people.

Disclosure. Don’t hold property in Sydney. Never visited Drui either. Have zero interest in the area at the moment. This could change.

I think Sash is provoking this all by himself.

This very post was designed to provoke and poke nerves.

    Hence why it's triggering response.

At our work we refer to it as being passive aggressive.

This could be the case, still discussions are healthy and watches are boring (they also teach me nothing new).

We are adults (I hope!), and while I understand that it could feel personal, remember its just another opinion. Snap those who are not behaving back into the left lane, keep calm and carry on!;)

I like reading conflicting opinions, they teach me something.

A thing I have observed (may or may not be correct). Prices in Mt Druitt have fallen but the prices in other 2770 suburbs not close to train have fallen more. Crappy houses on decent blocks are now selling in low to mid 300s.

    No you don't!

That is the cheapest one if you look at the price range. This one is the cheapest with a clear price HOWEVER, what you can't see in the photos is the sheer amount of $$ and time that needs to be spent on this house. There is wood rot in the window frames & the eaves, water damage in the ceiling, filth & grime everywhere.......
