Congrats to both of you. When I got started with SS, found few of the posts that said 'age + kids' plays a big hurdle in the path of PI. It sounded sensible but didn't give a good feeling to me until I read @Rixter posts who happened to start at 40years and some of your posts which emphasized that having kids is a no stopper to PI.

On the other note, am planning to buy IP in Brissie later this year (in the process of building deposit) using BA. Looks like Propertunity is well recommended here from the experience of other investors. Is @Beanie Girl too BA?

Thanks @DiligentPM. It's been a journey full of lessons and character building given @monalisa and I had $40k to start with. We crossed a major milestone in our acquisitions after this. Fortunate to have found investing in our early 20's. The earlier you start the better (as long as you don't buy over priced OTP!) Had to really get into it and learn at every step of the way, because having been in this country for 9 years at that point (and 2 years working after university), this is all we had to build secure financial foundations and thankfully it has paid off with Sydney having a great run over the last couple of years. Thanks to Somersoft and all the people who share their knowledge so openly. This investing has allowed us into our first family home in Australia, where we moved recently. I don't think we'd be here had we not invested. Meanwhile most people wouldn't take action. You just gotta start somewhere and starting small, cashflow +ve is what worked for us.
