Hehe sneaky, technically illegal to do, obstructing a roadway or something similar. A guy tried that in our street he lost about 8 witches hats before he gave up

    Couldn’t have said it better.
What’s with the self entitlement. @Ghoti have you ever parked in front of someone else’s house ?

Have similar occurrences - neighbour usually almost always have 3-4 cars around with 2 parked in front of the nature strip in front of my house. Sometimes it irritates me - there is an empty land next to my house with nature strip too... why not park there. But the road is not mine, so just let it go.

I didn't see any self entitlement in the OP. Why the attacks?
How awful for gods sake, some constructive suggestions or just don't respond. Heck!

Reading between the lines it very much came across as "that car shouldn't be allowed to park there as it's in front of my house!" to me.

True. But , it's just one of those quirky aspects of human behaviour that we suddenly become territorial over government supplied infrastructure. Sure, most of us pay taxes and vehicle registration and feel "entitled" to a piece of bitumen at the front of our abode.

It's about sharing. My neighbour to the left side of me, doesn't like me cause he reckons I used to stare at his misses. Yet, he didn't me jumping the fence to grap some of his hens eggs every now and then. Although, he drew the line that morning when I walked into his kitchen with an empty cup to get some coffee, milk, and two teaspoons of sugar lol.

Yes Datto, we all have different interpretations of sharing and the limits of acceptable behavior :)

I do sympathise with the original OP though, it would annoy me also.

It was more about your attire on the day, you were still in your PJs - Oh, that's right....you don't wear any. :p

LOL saw the header and thought someone wanted to move me on :D
Not much you can do when the property (ie: road) in question isn't yours. Lots of suburbs have this problem- we do live in a built up location after all!

I thought about that, but I realised that your real name is only known by members who actually know you.

Had this happen to me. The car was parked out the front of my housr permanently. So I got my brother in law to run the plates. The car was unregistered and I then submitted a anonymous letter to the council. The car was gone that week.

I just realised no one has parked outside my house for ages, not even family/friends. Probably because someone keeps forgetting to prune the big low scratchy branches sticking out from the tree on my nature strip...

I might try this (using the RMS rego tool) as there's a car on my street that's been up on jackstands for at least 3 years.

I was chatting to an agent this morning about some strata matters, she said that in one block she managed the body corporate would issue fines annually to the owner who had an unregistered car in it's spot. Bylaw said on unregistered cars.
