What about old movies? There are only so many new releases you can go see. I love 80s and 90s action, main reason there is virtually no CGI. Also some good Aussie movies, Bad Eggs, Black Balloon.

Mr Angel did his brownie points thing and took me to see big fat greek wedding 2 today. He laughed just as much as I did. Sometimes you just need a good laugh.

Watched Deadpool today, was better than I expected. Was a bit hard to get into though.

Respect. Lethal weapons, Die hard 1 and cliff-hanger. The 80's and 90's action movies will never be replicated :(

I watched Hunt for the Widerpeople today. A very enjoyable New Zealand movie, showing off some of the spectacular bush scenery. The main actors were good, though I thought some of the support actors a bit unbelievable. The director/writer playing the minister giving the eulogy was great. Some bits of the plot were over the top, but overall a feelgood enjoyable movie.

I watched a little movie called Keanu, was surprised that it was pretty funny.
    And it stars a kitten.

Today I watched a movie which was one of the worst that I have seen - The Runner staring Nicholas Cage. The Runner (2015) - IMDb
I have no idea what it was about although I watched the whole thing. Terrible movie.

    Indeed, sounds really interesting.
Just a coincidence that was the screen shot ;)

I went to see Hacksaw Ridge last week.

It's a Mel Gibson film, made in Australia- about a US soldier who goes into WWII who does not believe in carrying guns. It's based on a true story.

While it was very good, the war scenes were very graphic and realistic- sometimes extremely gory.

My wife walked out well before the end. She just couldn't stomach it. She wasn't the only one.

I'm glad we swapped from Hacksaw Ridge to another movie for tonight. I don't mind movies that are a bit "out there" but graphic and gory isn't what I want to see.

Just saw recent release 'Criminal' with Kevin Costner. One of the best I have seen in years!! Definitely worth a look.
